The 2015 edition of the Open Studios Tour, again, put some gems in front of the public. Two days just was not enough. I wish it could have lasted a week. The senses were treated to some excellent work by local artisans. Port Townsend really has more than their fair share.

Just perusing the Downtown galleries on a regular basis showcases a great volume of arts and artists, but the Open Studio Tour takes you into their work places around town, and treats the eye to a plethora of wonderful, undiscovered work. From Ceramics by Diane Gale, Daily Bird Pottery and Margaret Takaki, to Stone Sculpture by Arliss Newcomb, Wood Workers such as Greg Kossow and Paul Kaase to Print Making at Corvidae Press or Batik by Sakura Davis.

The Etched Glass by Jerry and Raye Perrett is outstanding, as is the Jewelry work of Lyn Faas and Kristen Wade.

Let us not forget our talented painters, so many! The great work of Luke Tornatzky, the powerful and colorful work of Mena Quilici, Shirley Rudolf, Evy Olsen Halvorsen, and the exceptional paintings of Julie Read

All these and more! Search them out and have a look at their work, along with others not individually mentioned. The Listings and locations still are on the 2015 Art Port Townsend website Studio Tour Artists

With stellar talent and creativity ALL are a must for the enthusiast of the arts.
