Owners Carlos Soto and Alfonso Ramos opened El Guadalajara Family Mexican Restaurant in June of 2014 and since then it has become a favorite here in Port Townsend amongst the tourists and locals alike. Conveniently located on Washington Street one block off of the main street, Sims Avenue, El Guadalajara is a spacious, nicely appointed venue with colorful Mexican style decor featuring a full, separate bar area with a large selection of beers on tap as well as flat screen TVs for sports enthusiasts. The ample outdoor patio area is pet friendly and a perfect place to sit and enjoy happy hour with a jumbo sized Margarita or a frothy draft beer on a warm summer afternoon. The extensive menu features traditional Mexican fare with house specialties including pork carnitas, fajitas, and carne asada, and lunch specials starting at $5.99 a plate. All of El Guadalajara\’s recipes are gluten free and the portions are quite generous.
