The Port Townsend Open Studio Tour is a delightful, annual weekend event showcasing several local artists in their work environments. This year there were 69 participants and although I would love to have visited them all, I was only able to get out and see a few near where I live. Each one of the artists I visited had many beautiful items on display, metal sculptures, paintings, fiber arts, jewerly and more!

I also visited the Whidbey Working Artists studio tours the weekend following PT open studios. As with Port Townsend open studios, I discovered several local artists exhibiting their various mediums from fiber arts, weavers, jewelry makers and potters, to glass sculpture, metal work fabrication, wood work and oil painting. Again, it would have been great to visit more studios but, of course, time only allows to do so many.

Because a picture speaks a thousand words, below you can see for yourself what the many possibilities are through the wondrous workings of the creative mind and spirit that lives in all of us!  Okay, okay, so some minds are more creative than others, and some are just exceptionally gifted, but I believe that ALL of us have the potential to create something unique and special if we so desire. After visiting these artists and their studios, I am inspired and motivated to continue nurturing and developing my own creative ideas through the medium of art photography, travel photography, and website design. I hope you are also inspired to pick up a paintbrush, camera or whatever sparks that creative flame in your heart and explore your own creative potential!  Enjoy!  Pamela T.
